Task Forces
The Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding is committed to collaboration and convenes two monthly task forces that address bullying and mental health stigma. Each task force meeting is open to the public and newcomers are welcome. Task force meetings are held at the Community Partnership for Southern Arizona’s Training Center at 2502 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson, AZ.
End of Bullying Task Force, Third Thursday of the Month: 3:30-5 p.m.
The End of Bullying Task Force has outlined its mission, vision and goals, and created the Fund’s online bullying resource for parents, students, educators and workplaces. Each of the task force’s monthly meetings includes an educational presentation so that those working in bullying prevention and intervention can network and learn from one another. This task force also works on the annual Step Up, Speak Out End Bullying public service announcement contest and awards showcase.
Mental Illness Stigma Elimination Task Force, Third Monday of the Month: 3:30-5 p.m.
The Mental Illness Stigma Elimination Task Force (MISETF) began with a merger of the Community Partnership for Southern Arizona’s Stigma Elimination Committee and the Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding’s Mental Health Task Force. The MISETF creates projects to eliminate mental illness stigma in our community. The group’s current project is Mental Health Safe Space.
