Previous Concerts for Civility
Inaugural Concert for Civility, March 10, 2011
The Fund for Civility got its seed money from generous community donations and a huge concert event held on March 10, 2011, just two months after the January 8th shooting in Tucson that sparked the creation of the Fund. The Barber family worked with Jackson Browne’s management team to put together a star-studded event that gave the community a chance to come together and enjoy the healing power of music. The line-up spectacular and the music a powerful reminder of how precious life is.
Second Concert for Civility and Silent Auction, August 20, 2011
This beautiful and intimate concert event and silent auction featured Reverie, a Philadelphia-based jazz quartet.
Third Concert for Civility, January 15, 2012
Held at the beautiful Fox Theater in Tucson, the concert featured Ben Folds, Calexico, Mariachi Luz de Luna, Silver Thread Trio, and Mitzi Cowell.
